Went to Thuppakki today, with my girl. If it’s not for her, I would’ve never considered going to a Vijay movie. :-)
Personally being a Vijay basher, I did not have much expectations. But the movie was the director’s more than the actor’s. Limited but enough mass from Vijay. He could improve on his dialogue delivery while speaking English. He manages Hindi very well, surprisingly.
Kajal Agarwal is useless in the movie. Overacting and trying to look cute. But she doesn’t succeed. She looks damn hot though :-P
Camera work was great. One special person needs a mention here: Harris Jeyaraj. He dishes out crap after crap in every other movie. Music is horrendous and the background score stinks more than garbage, to say the least. No improvement for him.
Barring the music, a very good movie. For non Vijay fans too. ARM could’ve managed without lifting that famous dialogue from ‘Taken’ though: ‘I don’t know who you’re, but I’ll find you and kill you’.
